Pricing & Payments: Charges are per person, with an extra fee after 5 guests. Payment is made in two shifts (advance + balance), and both cash and MoMo are accepted.
Booking & Inclusions: Online booking covers bed and breakfast only. All other services, activities, and meals (lunch, dinner, alcohol) are paid separately.
Facilities & Conditions: Rooms are basic and improving; the reservation price depends on the number of people; dinner is served buffet-style with vegetarian options.
Access & Transportation: The cottage is reached by a short hill walk (10 minutes). Nearby car parking is available, and 4×4 vehicles are recommended due to road conditions.
Children, Pets & Drones: Children aged 6+ pay; under 6 are free. Pets may be allowed with prior contact. Drones require authorization.
Safety & Community Guidelines: Parents must supervise children near the lake/village. Guests are encouraged to support local activities or community initiatives to help maintain the area and ensure security.

Burera Cottage is located on the shores of Lake Burera on the front side and Lake Ruhondo on the back side. To reach there, below is the route that can be followed:
A guide is always available to direct visitors from Musanze Town to the cottage.
Musanze Town – Head towards the Uganda and Rwanda Border – Turn right to the road heading to NTARUKA Hydroelectric Power – Keep moving in the same street and reach the bridge – keep moving straight to the way that heads to byiza lodge – Stop at the next local center – Turn left in a path between the houses in the centre – This route will take you to the gate of the cottage.
